Part gourmet magic, part reality documentary, “Table 42″ brings together the culinary talents of Chef Darryl Harmon with an array of interesting diners centered around a fabled intimate location found at The Water Works restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Water Works, located behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art and along the banks of the Schuylkill River in full view of Boathouse Row, is itself a rich experience steeped in American history. Its breathtaking views and delicious delicacies have seduced and delighted countless of patrons from the Philadelphia region and the world over. And among its many celebrated dining areas is one with a distinctive history all its own.

Over 200 wedding proposals have taken place at this comfortable, candle-lit booth, as well as untold numbers of once-in-a-lifetime, intimate moments. Through interviews with the guests, their families, our chef, and other members of the Water Works staff, we plan to take you on a journey that’s as much about life, love and friendship as it is about the fantastic world of food.
